We All Scream for Ice Cream!

Summer fun is filled with dietary pitfalls like baseball stadium foot-long hot dogs, beachside lobster rolls, rosé all day, and of course, towering scoops of ice cream. While there isn’t much you can do about making the first four healthy, we here at SFH created a way you can have your ice cream and stay healthy too. We whipped up batches of protein ice cream flavors which will taste like they are straight from your local ice cream shop.

Tropical Nice Cream

1 cup frozen strawberries
¼ cup frozen raspberries
1 cup frozen pineapple
1 cup frozen mango
1 scoop SFH Coconut Protein Powder
A splash of Almond Milk

Blend all ingredients and freeze in a container or add to ice cream maker. Makes about 4 servings

Per serving: 84 calories, 2g fat, 13g carbs, 6g protein

 

Mint Chocolate Chip

1 can coconut cream
1 scoop SFH Peppermint Protein Powder
1 sprig fresh mint
1/2 cup chocolate chunks

Blend first 3 ingredients, add chocolate and freeze in a container or add to ice cream maker. Makes about 4 servings.

Per serving: 293 calories, 18g fat, 22g carbs, 9g protein

 

Chunky Monkey

4 bananas
4 TBSP almond butter
1/2 cup almond milk
1 scoop SFH Vanilla Protein
1/2 cup chocolate chunks

Slice and freeze bananas until firm. Blend frozen bananas, almond butter and protein powder together adding almond milk for consistency. Stir in chocolate chunks and freeze in a container or add to ice cream maker. Makes about 5 servings.
