Feel It In Your Bones

With more people putting stress on their bones and joints with harder workouts, longer hours, and longer lives, the knee-jerk reaction is to reach for a bottle of painkillers, over the counter or otherwise. Today, more and more people are looking for healthier ways to repair their body and enrich a less than stellar diet. As we learn more about nutrition and the ability to heal ourselves with food, supplements have become a huge addition to a daily regimen.

SFH aims to make your fitness dreams come true. When searching for an all-natural product for joint and bone health, SFH looked for something that was fast acting, without side effects, non-allergenic, easily absorbed (without gut issues), and had consistent third party derived clinical data proving real results. In addition, SFH looked for an element that would decrease inflammation and increase flexibility after a tough workout.

Where would one find such a supplemental unicorn? Glucosamine and chondroitin are two popular supplements that are used to promote bone and joint health. Glucosamine, a fatty acid found in cartilage, has been found to help prevent general wear and tear on the cartilage while chondroitin prevents enzymes from destroying cartilage. These ingredients have been used for years with limited success.

However, there is a bone to pick with these two supplements. The main detractors from this supposed dynamic duo are that the sourcing can be unreliable, there is allergy potential, and it can take a long time to see the health benefits. Then there are those who say it doesn’t have a big benefit at all. A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine states that the degree of relief is relative to how much pain a person has to begin with. During the study, 1,500 participants who took the two supplements felt no more relief than when taking a placebo.  The bottom line, despite many positive reports, the jury is still out on effectiveness.

SFH has used both glucosamine and chondroitin in our RECOVERY supplement in the past, but we are evolving our product with the times. As science improves, so do we. In order to replace these two with something that ticks all the boxes and has reliable clinical data, SFH searched for over two years. We eventually found our grail: boron in Fruitex-B. Boron, an atom, has benefits that have been quantified by WOMAC, a well-established, widely used method to measure joint pain and flexibility. Boron has consistently shown to improve healthy immune responses as well as decreasing stiffness and strengthening bones. Fruitex-B has clinical studies to show effective dose strength and expected benefit. With these scientific stamps of approval, we chose boron, and Fruitex-B as our Boron delivery system in RECOVER so that you get fast reliable absorption. And we mean fast - some have noticed results in seven days or earlier. With the previous supplements taking sometimes a month or more to move the yardstick, the speed of Fruitex-B in RECOVER is a revelation. But here at SFH, we aren’t the type to rest on our laurels. We increased the dose of Fruitex-B to 220 mg which delivers 5 mg of boron. The numbers may not mean much on paper, but make no bones about it, you will get results. With the new additions, we feel strongly that RECOVER is one of the most complete post-workout supplements on the market.
