Pecan Pie Protein Twix Bars
Recipe makes 12 bars with 8.7g of protein in each
Ingredients:
Crust:
1 cup almond flour
1/3 cup coconut flour
1 scoop SFH PURE Whey Vanilla protein powder
1/4 cup + 1 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp liquid coconut oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
Filling:
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup creamy almond butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Coating:
1 1/2 cup Hu Kitchen chocolate gems
2 tsp coconut oil
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a bread pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix almond flour, coconut flour, protein powder, and salt.
Stir in maple syrup, coconut oil, and vanilla until a thick dough forms.
Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
Bake for 12 minutes, then remove and let cool completely.
In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stir together almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla, and pecans until melted and combined.
Pour the filling over the cooled crust and spread evenly to cover.
Place in the freezer for 1 hour to set.
Remove from the pan using parchment and slice into 12–15 bars.
Melt chocolate and coconut oil together until smooth.
Dip each bar into the chocolate to fully coat.
Place coated bars on a parchment-lined cookie sheet and return to the freezer until the chocolate is set.
